GILES Role: Director Qualifications: BSc on Economics (Hons) If you were a wine (or beer) what would you be? why? Ch. Branaire Ducru 2000 - this is my favourite wine from St. Julien (Saint Julien is the patron saint of innkeepers and I ran a hotel for 15 years). It's red which is a masculine colour, it's very high quality without being the pinnacle and it's improving with age. What is your favourite saying / quote? Dry your eyes, build a bridge and get over it If you weren't working, where would you like to be? Either the Ile d'Oleron on the west coast of France or watching my 12 year old son play rugby. The best time of the day at Directwines is? Thursday 4pm when we holding our weekly tasting of wines put forward for the various clubs. |

KEVIN Role: Expanding the Fine & Rare Wine Department in both the retail and auction sector as well as growing the Wine Auction and wine related chattel section Qualifications: Have spent 15 years selling wine by auction have become a avid wine enthusiast (and drinker). Favourite saying: If Not Working- In Tuscany sitting in a local cafe drinking a nice NZ Pinot Noir Best Time Of Day At DW ... is watching pallets of wine being loaded onto trucks for delivery to customers. |

FRANCES Role: Fine & rare wine auctions Qualifications: Been working in the wine auction business since 2006 If you were a wine (or beer) what would you be? A sweet lush desert wine! Could be drunk first thing in the morning or last thing at night and particularly good as a 'pick me up' late in the afternoon! What is your favourite saying / quote? 40 is the new 30 If you weren't working, where would you like to be? Hanging out with the kids The best time of the day at Directwines is? Our buying committee meetings. This is when we go through our wine offers for the week and sample the wines as well. |

CHRIS Role: Wine and Repackage Co-ordinator Qualifications: Nice Smile If you were a wine (or beer) what would you be? Barley Wine because I am thick and sweet. What is your favourite saying / quote? The heights of great men reached and kept were not attained by sudden flight, for while their companions slept they were working upwards into the night.
