This wine is a 50/50 blend of the best Sangiovese and Dolcetto from 2009 that Heron's flight can offer. Sangiovese, from Tuscany and Dolcetto, from Piedmonte, are rarely blended. However it was decided to add the earthliness of the Sangiovese to the dark cherries spicines of the Dolcetto to craft a wine which clearly has both elements.
